Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is well-known for her role in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is actively involved in theater, film, and television. Her acting journey began in theater and later appeared in several television series and independent and mainstream movies. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and numerous nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
