Since 2007 she has been a judge for Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. In the weekday mornings she hosts Heart Breakfast radio with Jamie Theakston. Holden was born in Portsmouth, Hampshireand spent much of her childhood in Bishop's Waltham, and aged nine, she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden has also appeared in TV in three seasons of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She also was a part of three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. Holden co-starred with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy-drama written by Jack Rosenthal. Holden is the judge on Britain's Got Talent along with Simon Cowell, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon. In 2006, she joined the show.
